We build software people stop thinking about
It becomes part of how the business runs instead of another thing people have to manage. Good software disappears into the work. Bad software becomes the work.

A software studio in Miami
Nerthex is a software studio in Miami, Florida. We build websites, custom software and automation for local businesses: the site people find you through, and the systems behind it that actually run the work.
We work with small and growing businesses that have outgrown the way they are doing something: a studio still taking bookings by phone, a team keeping the real numbers in a spreadsheet, an office typing the same order into three different places. Whoever you speak to is whoever builds it, and there is a person to ring when you have a question.
Whatever we build, you own. The domain, the code, the cloud accounts, the database and the documentation are all in your business’s name, not ours.
Type it once.
Software exists so information only has one home. Every extra place someone types the same thing is another chance for a mistake.
Every job we take comes back to the same question: where is this information entered, and why more than once?
The work comes first
Before we build anything, we want to understand how the work actually gets done, including the exceptions nobody has written down.
Solve one problem well
A business rarely needs everything rebuilt. We find the part of the week that costs the most and fix that first.
Useful beats finished
We'd rather deliver something your team uses in three weeks than promise everything in six months. What people do with the first piece changes what gets built next.
Leave things clear
The software matters. So does writing down why it works the way it does. If someone new joins your team next year, they shouldn't have to call us to understand it.
Keep ownership simple
The accounts are yours, the code is yours, the documentation is yours. Your business should not depend on us staying in business.
